2012 Session, September 30 - October 5, 2012

Join Peggy, Phyllis, and Betty at one of the finest porcelain art schools in the US. The Midwest Porcelain Art School is held every year in the autumn at the Elms Resort and Spa in Excelsior Springs, MO. The Elms Resort is just 30 minutes from the Kansas City Airport, and only a few minutes stroll from the historic Hall of Waters and the quaint Excelsior Springs shopping district.

Students will enjoy comfortable air-conditioned accommodations and gracious dining. There is also a European indoor lap pool, spa, fitness center, year-round hot tub, steam room, sauna and outdoor walking trail.

This historic spa hotel nestled in the autumn foliage of western Missouri is the perfect setting for studying porcelain painting with master painters or relaxing at the Spa facilities.

The 2012 list of teachers includes: San Do, Phyllis McElhinney, Peggy Adams, Alzora Zaremba, Joyce Stewart, Jane Wright, Rosa Maria Plancarte, Marty Hill, Thelma Ingram, Ellen Wilson Pruitt, Barbara Bougher, and Arlene Barra.

The school is offering a unique opportunity this year to learn both porcelain painting and watercolor painting with Joyce Stewart. Joyce will be teaching watercolor to porcelain in her new class. The students will learn how to design their scene and create a watercolor study prior to completing their porcelain painting. A new and interesting opportunity for porcelain and watercolor painters at MPAS this year.
